The tire has European road approval (E).

The TW01 model was originally developed for rally use. Based on feedback from professional rally drivers, both the construction and the properties of the compounds have been adapted over time, and the Tarmac Wet is an Intermed type tire designed for changeable weather conditions. The outer blocks are larger to provide lateral stability and heat build-up, while the system of longitudinal and lateral grooves allows water dispersion in wet conditions. 2 compounds are available : Soft and Supersoft.

The TW01 can be used at almost all possible motorsport events where the road surface is predominantly damp or wet. In cold temperatures, the tire can also be used very well on dry roads. In soft compound good all-rounder for the fall/winter season.
